Project Context
Nora is a **conversational AI assistant** that I designed to provide a simple, fast, and accessible experience for everyone. The idea was to have a minimalist interface where users can ask questions and receive natural responses without a complicated interface or visual clutter.
Goals
- Offer a **lightweight, responsive web interface**.
- Be able to **quickly deploy** an online demo.
- Experiment with a **simple architecture** combining HTML/CSS/JS on the frontend and **Flask** on the backend.
Technical Stack
- **Frontend:** HTML, CSS, JavaScript (vanilla)
- **Backend:** Python, Flask
- **Deployment:** Render
The frontend interacts with the Flask API via HTTP requests, which clearly separates the interface from the response generation logic.
Main Features
- Text area to ask a question.
- Display of Nora’s responses in a conversation history.
- Loading state management to show that Nora is “thinking.”
What I Learned
- Structuring a small AI project end-to-end: **UI + backend + deployment**.
- Managing response times and network errors to maintain a good UX.
